A short rail, read slowly
Four dresses that carry the day, and four tops that change how the same skirt reads.
Our position
Clothes should not need a rehearsal
If a piece needs adjusting in the mirror twice before you leave the house, it is not finished. We cut for the second wear, not the photograph.
A poet sleeve that stays out of the coffee
Sleeves decide whether a dress is worn twice or once. A poet sleeve is cut with a little more length at the cuff so it falls back from the wrist instead of sliding over it, and the lace is stitched flat to its lining so nothing catches on a door handle. Anything with a slit or an open back is worn seated, walking and climbing stairs before it is approved. What is left is a rail of dresses that behave the same on a Tuesday as they do in a studio photograph.
The same dress, three hours apart
Sleeves down for the morning, a jacket over it by lunch, and the side slit doing the work after six.

The close-up: lace edge, hidden zip
Two details do most of the work here: a lace edge set into the neckline in the same colour as the cloth, and a zip hidden in the side seam so the back stays plain. Both are photographed close, in daylight and under warm light.
Before you order
Lace stitched flat
Bonded to its lining rather than gathered, so it lies on the body and not away from it.
Drape tested
Every knit is weighed and worn before it is cut; a top that bags by noon never ships.
30 days to return
Unworn with tags, sent back to Lexington, Kentucky for a refund to the original method.
